Protective embankments

be used to build embankments alongside railway tracks to provide effective
protection against environmental nuisances, such as noise and visual pollution.
Such structures can also act as powerful safety barriers against collisions, especially in case of corridors combining high-speed railways and roads, due to the inherent resilience of Reinforced Earth®. To streamline the use of land and materials, the faces of the embankments can be vertical or inclined, complete with mineral or vegetation-covered facings. |
