The
structures alongside the tracks do not require any specific foundations,
take up very little space for construction and can be adapted to bends
and curves. |

Structures feature shallow foundations without any protruding footing, meaning that excavations do not encroach upon the railway bed. A Reinforced Earth® wall is built entirely from the inside out, without any scaffolding or any need for structures or equipment in front of the wall allowing existing rail service to continue uninterrupted. Walls can therefore be positioned tight against the clearance line or service road, which minimizes any disruption to rail traffic. Walls can be readily maintained and repaired as needed when damaged bu train traffic. In design, impact barriers can be incorporated at the base of walls to prevent collision damage. |
